Do you know any easy books to read in French that are interesting? I’ve read le petit prince and I’m reading some of the short stories from the book le petit nicolas if that gives an idea of my level. Thanks!

Hello! I do have a few suggestions! Le petit prince is a pretty classic novel in French literature so the following novel are more classic too.

•L’ étranger by Albert Camus

Goodreads: Through the story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into senseless murder on an Algerian beach, Camus explored what he termed “the nakedness of man faced with the absurd”.

This book is a little bit more difficult than Le petit prince in my opinion but I think you can read it and enjoy it anyways.

• Oscar et la dame rose by Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt

Goodreads: Oscar is dying. One of the ‘ladies in pink’ who come to visit the patients, makes friends with him. She suggests that he should pretend that each of the following 12 days is a decade of his imaginary life. Oscar writes ten letters to God that are sensitive, funny, heartbreaking and, ultimately, life-affirming.

There is even a movie if you are interested!

•Fables by Jean de La Fontaine

A classic series of books filled with his fables such as The fox and the crow, The Tortoise and the Hard and The And and the Grasshopper.

Could be a little bit more hard to read since it’s written all in verse but the stories are pretty short!

•Le petit Nicolas vu Sempé and Goscinny

Pretty good series of books that are easy to read! About growing up in France in the 50’s.

•Les Belles-Sœurs by Michel Tremblay.

A French Canadian play that is written in ‘joual’ , a dialect associated with the working class of Montreal.

One of my favourite play! It’s really funny and if you’re able to understand it, it’s really good!

**********
This is the few books I recommend if you liked Le Petit Prince but feel free to add suggestions if you have any!

Hey if you’re schizophrenic/psychotic I just want you to know that you’re a wonderful person and that you deserve so much better than the demonization, marginalization and stigmatization you face in this society.

Please consider reblogging this/other positivity posts for schizophrenic/psychotic people every once in a while. If you have more than 100 followers, odds are that a couple of them experiences psychosis and that they rarely see positivity posts for people with their symptoms.
